Party Cakes Whitsunday has established terms and conditions to ensure the smooth and successful fulfilment of cake orders to the satisfaction of all customers.

These terms and conditions ensure both business and customer understand their responsibilities so that cake orders are successfully created exactly as desired.

Communication

Exceptional communication is paramount at Party Cakes Whitsunday. Due to the emotional connection and purchase of your dream cake, it is vitally important that your cake is baked and decorated as accurately and perfectly as possible.

Ordering

• Order your cake as early as possible to allow organisation of ingredients, equipment and specialised decorations.
• Wedding cake orders require a minimum of 4 weeks' notice.
• Birthday and event cake orders require a minimum of 5 days notice.
• Orders may be accepted outside these timeframes at the discretion of Party Cakes Whitsunday.
• Customers should carefully review all confirmation details to ensure flavours and designs are correct.

Deposits and Payments

• Wedding cakes require a non-refundable 20% deposit upon confirmation.
• Full payment for wedding cakes is due 60 days prior to delivery.
• Wedding orders accepted within 60 days of delivery must be paid in full at the time of ordering.
• Birthday and event cakes require a non-refundable $80 or 20% deposit upon confirmation.
• Full payment for birthday and event cakes is due on pickup or delivery.
• All orders made online via the website must be paid up front.

Accepted Payment Methods

3. Credit or Debit Card

Additional payment terms:

• An invoice with payment details may be issued upon confirmation.
• A receipt can be issued once full payment has been made.
• Where weddings or events are paid through a venue or coordination business, payment may be bundled into the event package and handled according to the third party's payment terms.
• Cake details must still be confirmed with Party Cakes Whitsunday either directly or through the third party.
• Payments made online via the website must be paid via credit or debit card.

Changes

• Changes requested within 2 weeks of the event may incur a surcharge.
• Most changes can be accommodated, but this cannot always be guaranteed.
• Customers are encouraged to finalise details as early as possible.

Cancellations

• If you need to cancel your order, contact Party Cakes Whitsunday as soon as possible.
• The 20% deposit is non-refundable.
• Fully paid orders may be partially refunded based on the time remaining before the event, at the discretion of Party Cakes Whitsunday.
• Once baking or decorating has begun, no refund can be provided.

Delivery

• Delivery and setup services are available.
• Wedding cakes delivered to Whitsunday Island resorts include ferry freight costs in the cake price.
• Birthday and event cake deliveries to island resorts incur additional freight charges.

Delivery fees vary according to your location

Additional conditions:

• Cakes may be collected free of charge.
• Delivery times are estimated and cannot be guaranteed due to unforeseen circumstances.
• Late delivery does not entitle customers to cancellation or refund.

Once Your Cake Is Delivered, Set Up or Collected

• Cakes are delicate and perishable products.
• Party Cakes Whitsunday cannot be responsible for damage during customer transportation.
• Party Cakes Whitsunday cannot be responsible for damage occurring after delivery or setup.

Cupcake Stands

• Cupcake stands are generally only hired with Party Cakes Whitsunday cakes or cupcakes.
• A signed waiver and refundable $100 bond are required.
• The bond is refunded upon timely return of the stand in good condition.
• Third-party hires are the responsibility of the client and venue/coordinator.
• Customers may use their own cupcake stands if preferred.

Fresh Flowers and Decorations

• Fresh flowers must be ordered at least one month before the cake completion date.
• Flower availability depends on seasonal supply.
• Alternative flowers may be suggested if requested flowers are unavailable.
• Clients are encouraged to provide florist details for coordination.
• Clients are responsible for removing any non-edible items before consumption.
• Colour matching will be attempted as closely as possible, but exact matches cannot be guaranteed.
• Colour samples are recommended.

Allergies

• Any food allergies or intolerances must be disclosed when placing the original order.
• Party Cakes Whitsunday follows strict cleaning procedures.
• Despite best efforts, they cannot guarantee cakes are completely free from allergen traces.
• Clients are responsible for informing guests about potential allergen traces.

Gift Vouchers

• Redeemable in full or part for cakes and cupcakes.
• Cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Non-refundable.

Privacy

Except for:

1. Your florist supplying flowers for your wedding cake.
2. Your wedding or event venue.
3. Your event coordination business (if applicable).

Party Cakes Whitsunday does not share client information with third parties without prior consent.

Additional privacy terms:

• Photos of cakes may be used on the website, social media, or printed materials.
• Personal client details will not be disclosed without permission.

The Legal Stuff

• Party Cakes Whitsunday is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from the use of supplied products.
• Clients agree to indemnify and hold Party Cakes Whitsunday harmless against claims, losses, expenses, and legal costs related to services provided.
• Party Cakes Whitsunday reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions without notice.
